Title: Executive Director, Whitewater Community Foundation
Reports to: Board of Directors, working in close partnership with the Board President
Hours: 20 hours per week at $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Starting Date: ASAP
Position Summary
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative and operational leader of the
Whitewater Community Foundation, working in close partnership with the Board President and
Board of Directors to guide the organization. This position provides leadership in advancing the
Foundation’s mission through strategic planning, fundraising, community engagement, and
organizational management. As the Foundation’s senior staff leader, the Executive Director is
responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization, and for supporting and
implementing Board-approved strategies, policies, and initiatives in alignment with sound
nonprofit practices.
The Whitewater Community Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization serving
Whitewater, Wisconsin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes, but is not limited to, the following:
* Provides leadership for the Foundation in partnership with the Board President,
supporting effective governance, operational excellence, and alignment with the
Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities.
* Serves as a primary representative and spokesperson for the Foundation within the
community, working in coordination with the Board President and Board direction to
strengthen relationships with stakeholders, donors, partners, and fund holders.
* Works collaboratively with the Board of Directors and Board President to support the
development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic plans that advance the
Foundation’s mission and long-term sustainability.
* Leads and coordinates the Foundation’s fundraising and resource development efforts,
including donor cultivation, sponsorships, grant opportunities, and other fundraising
initiatives that support the organization’s mission and priorities, under the direction of the
Board of Directors.
* Provides operational coordination for Board committees responsible for the Scholarship
Program and Community Action Grants, including logistics, communications,
documentation, and reporting.
* Administers Conduit Accounts and related agreements as directed by the Board.
* Supports marketing and communications initiatives led by the Marketing Committee,
including development and distribution of press releases, the Foundation’s annual report,
and other public information materials.
* Maintains the Foundation’s website and social media platforms to ensure consistent,
Board-approved messaging that is clear, up to date, and easy to navigate.
* Prepares reports and materials for Board meetings and provides timely information,
analysis, and operational support to assist the Board in informed decision-making.
Implements Board-approved initiatives, special projects, and follow-up actions.
* Assists with billing coordination and the promotion of sponsorship opportunities related

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
* Demonstrated fundraising and resource development capabilities.
* Ability to manage time effectively, produce high-quality work, and exercise discretion.
* Capacity to work independently with minimal direction.
* Proficiency in basic office software and digital tools.
